Domers of 12'

nice.... wow 30 kids in the junior class!... i think i had more in my kindergaten class

that ACT and GPA is really great.....
Good job

Being from Minnesota...

It's a good thing.

I believe there were about 40-45 kids when we started 7th grade, but some have moved, others flunked a grade, and I think at least 5 have transferred to a small Christian academy that most colleges don't even recognize diplomas from.

Of course, a small school also means very limited classes, which is pain. I'll probably take classes at a university about an hour from home next year through Minnesota's PSEO program since I don't have any more math or physical science classes left to take at my high school. Hopefully that will help balance out a complete lack of APs/Honors.

ya btu that ACT score will show your intelligence..... u playn any Varsity sports??

I played basketball the last two years, but I got kind of burned out on the team sport thing so I decided to take this year off. Never really gotten along with the rest of the team very well, except for a couple people. I would play tennis, but they cut it at least six years ago.

ohh... well u should try to play on a varsity sport team for your senior year..... notre dame really likes that

I don't know if that will be possible if I am commuting an hour probably 3 days a week to take classes at University of Minnesota-Duluth. Hopefully the rest of my app will make up for no varsity sports.

ya prob....... you look pretty good to me...... but its always a plus

Bump it......

hows the finals goin?

State:South Dakota
City:
High school type:small catholic high school. does not offer any ap or honors classes. i am taking the hardest curriculum offered
Grade Point avg. UW: 4.0, W: 4.05 (school only offers 2 weighted classes of 4.5 junior year)
Act scores/ projected: 31 first try without studying in oct. am taking again in april
The 1 E.C. that you are most proud of: golf and have held same job since 9th grade-2 years
Athletics: golf (obviously) since 8th grade. varsity since 9th grade. placed 3rd in state as a team this past year. we will probably win state next year.
What you like most about ND: the community and family atmosphere
Scale of 1-10 how badly you want to attend ND in the fall of 08'-10+

Nice golfer 08......

South Dakota?????
^ Hows the weather there now adays?

it's actually not that bad here right now. it's one of the warmest winters we've ever had. it was about 45 here on wednesday so i decided to go golfing. the course closed about 6 weeks ago. most people's season runs from about april through september. mine runs from march through december. i'm nuts what can i say. it could be a lot worse here, though. there's not even snow on the ground!

wow.. wasnt expecting that....

Ya in phoenix... our season is about year round....... we dont get much snow! lol

Im an avid golfer as well... but play football.. so cant play on the golf team.....

i used to play football, but that was when golf was in the spring. we switched to the fall so i decided to play golf instead. i have to say that i am probably the only one not complaining about global warming. it makes the winters bearable here. last year at this time, there was about a foot of snow on the ground right now. i always say i am a warm weather person stuck in south dakota.

hahah ya..... weve got plenty of warm weather in phoenix... lets see it was like 75 ish here today.....

and its december.....

O well

Wut other schools are u looking at GOlfer_08 ---- cuz believe it or not..... we may not get in to ND...lol

blasphemy!! how dare you spread such filthy lies!!

no, but really, it is kind of scary knowing that there is actually a pretty good chance that i won't get into notre dame as much as i hate to admit it. i do have a few other schools in mind, but none of them can compare to notre dame. the list is as follows:

notre dame (obviously)
columbia (even less likely)
u of washington st. louis (EVEN less likely)
creighton
florida (only because it's warm)
michigan
nyu (i like new york)
mit (a very long shot)
u of minnesota (safety)
any other place with a warm climate

while all of these are really great schools, i would be greatly disappointed if i didn't get into nd. it's probably way too early to be worrying about it now, though.

Ha!

It's never too early, golfer_08.

Look at me. I'm literally paranoid 24/7 right now because I didn't prepare much in my junior year.

Michigan with me too......

Um Look at University of San Diego if you like warm weather...... prob my numba 2

thats an interesting list

I have to agree, very intersting list. I don't really see any continuity between any of those schools (maybe Wash U and Columbia). What do you plan on majoring in college?

Haha...and it's definitely not too early for being paranoid about getting into ND......I have daily thoughts about that one.

there is very little continuity in those schools. that is because i am kind of torn between several different possible majors but, from the information i have gathered, notre dame is excellent for all of them.
