<p>Yea, it does sort of suck. I'm lucky, 'cause my school is somewhat new so we're 4A still, and its easier to be top 10%. I'm lucky to actually be able to consider UT a safety, because it is a really great school.
You might look at Texas A&M, which is still really good, but my brother (who wasn't top 10) was able to get in after waitlisted, and he didn't have great SAT or ECs either.
I'm thinking North Texas as well, though I heard their dorms are nasty and its a little too close to home for me.
It all depends are your stats, although I would look at A&M if you get the chance.</p>
<p>And chillintill08 "George Washington.... thats like in the heart of D.C. right?" ... Yea, which makes it a great Poli. Sci. school for me. But of course, Notre Dame is still number 1. Plus, if I really wanted it, there's a study abroad in DC too.</p>

<p>It's in San Marcos...pretty cool campus and city. UNT has the craziest parties, hence the unclean dorms.</p>

When do you plan on taking the SAT or ACT for real? Or when did you do it if you already have taken it?</p>
<p>I've known for....3 months lol. Short I know compared to some people! I've already taken the ACT and I took it in 7th grade (Duke TIP)</p>

<p>Well i guess for me it is when i walked on the campus when i was 5 years old to watch the Notre Dame -BYU game</p>
<p>I got home and immediatly asked my parents for a ND jersey for Christmas</p>
<p>OVer the next 10 years i went to the nD campus 3 times to watch the IRish PLay..</p>

<p>Then when i was 15 i started to think about college.... and then i thought,,,, wow I can actually go to notre Dame...</p>
<p>So basically I have always dreamed about going to notre dame... but Id say abut 2 years ago is when I realized that I actually ahve a realistic shot of being a Domer one day</p>

ND is my motivation...... I have a horrible schedule... 3 2 hour ones on monday and 2 on tuesday....</p>

<p>Day 1: English 3 H, Physics H
Day 2: Precal H
Day 3: Psychology AP, Band (which is surprisingly hard)
Day 4: APUSH</p>
<p>Yay! So I'm exempt from all my finals, which is a wonderful thing my school does. Plus, if I get exempt and then still take the exams, if they help my GPA, they'll be counted, but if they don't, they won't count them.
So, I'll probably take my Pre-Calc and Physics to raise by low 90s average up some. But that doesn't matter, because those are the two exams I have to actually show up (to do something about attendance.. no clue) so its not a waste of time on my part.</p>
<p>Greetings! Been lurking on the boards for awhile and figured I'd join the party here. Notre Dame has been my dream since my oldest brother started college there when I was in 1st grade. This year I finally realized that I could start preparing for college and I began thinking of Notre Dame again. Planning to visit ND and a few schools around Chicago this February... can't wait.
I'm a junior this year and exempt from finals at school if only because my school doesn't have any. Nor does it have any AP, Honors, etc. Oh well.</p>

The 1 E.C. that your most proud of:My invovlvement in music (school band, city band, pit orchestra, etc) is what I am most proud of.
Athletics:Played basketball as freshman and sophomore, adult tennis league in summer (school doesn't have a team).
What you like most about ND: I love the atmosphere of the place, the kind of people the school attracts, the dorm life, just about everything.
