Assuming that I would like to facilitate my child's admission to a top tier school and that he is a competitive applicant, how much minimum donation would be enough? This is a very serious question, and any helpful information would be appreciated. Thank you.

People like you bug me. Probably because I'm poor. Or at least, poor enough not to be able to buy my way in anywhere.

um...i don't think it works like that. (and i am being serious.)

at least, it's not supposed to, that kind of stuff is not "public knowledge." someone correct me if i'm wrong... :o

I don't mean to annoy and/or offend anyone, but I do apologize sincerely if my question is causing any concerns. I have been hearing several numbers and thought someone would be able to share any thoughts/estimates.

These wonderful kids would LOVE to receive your money!

Most top-tier universities usually will accept around 10 (0.5-1% of the total acceptance) of the canidates (about 50% of the offers made) each year.

Usually, these donations are in the tens of millions, enough to build a new building or a library. Contact the admissions office of the university to discuss how much you need to actually donate.

I would like to emphasize that these universities will not accept students entirely based on this donation. Around half of these offers are denied for other reasons.
