Done with the Spring 2011 semester. What were your final grades?

@killmyentourage and bakemaster

Did you guys even have a chance to get a good nights sleep lol?

what?

asdfgh

Lol your unit load is like 3 lab courses + mathematics. Looks like you would never have any free time.

UUUGHHHH I HAVE LIKE A MONTH LEFT. June 24th is my last final T_____T
I also have a midterm tomoro. sob

I have my German final tomorrow… I have As on everything so far in the class (one C+ but she drops the lowest exam score). Problem is, final exam is 25% of final grade. Even studying for it, I know its gonna be tough. I did some ungraded EC work that she said will bump people up if they need it; I’m just hoping to get by with a B. If I get a C, then I have to make sure I kill my physics final next week, since 2 Cs would mess me up for Cal. I’ve never gotten a C before, either Why did I save the two most difficult classes (for me, anyway) until the end? Why did I even take German? Well, I think I’ll do fine. I always have anxiety beforehand, then during and right after the test, I realize I aced it. Deep breaths, deep breaths…

I am really disappointed in myself. I completely lost the drive I had last semester.

FFS

Why are some of you taking so many credits in your last semester (I assume this is the last semester for the majority of you). I only had 1 course required for IGETC and already completed all my major prereqs for Phil.

English 103 Critical Thinking - A (Only course/units I actually needed)
Communications 105H - A (Wanted to improve my public speaking)
Philosophy 20 - A (Took just so I had another philosophy class before I transfer)

And that’s it…I’m sorry that some of you took upwards of 20 units.

Um what? I took 5 classes my Spring semester, but it all adds up to only 14.5 units. French was 2.5 units, choir was 2 units, writing 2 was 4 units, and both math and anthropology were 3 units. Just because someone’s taking more than 3 classes doesn’t mean those classes all add up to more than 20 units. Not every class is 5 units or more, you know. You don’t even know how many units the classes that each poster posted are, so how can you assume that they’re “20 units”?

update:

The 3 As are probably what saved my GPA from falling below 3.0 (my CC GPA is at 3.16. Previously, it was at 3.23). Still mad at myself for not trying my hardest in Biology (got a C on the final, but that wasn’t enough). I already completed the science requirement on the IGETC, but my UCD TAG says I had to maintain a 2.8 GPA average on all courses taken during spring, which I failed to do for Bio (I’m retaking it in the summer with a different professor).

sweetlacecharm, does that D in Stats mean you’ll be rescinded everywhere?

The people that tend to take a lot of units even in their final Spring semester are usually some sort of comp sci/engineering/science major because there are a lot of pre-requisites required for transfer (I think I had 14) that you should complete to be the best candidate for acceptance. Additionally, people like to complete as much if not all of the IGETC as they can. Some other people just like to get done with all pre-reqs even if only 70 units can be transferred.

@ Hayward: I’ve only been accepted to UC Davis. I’ve contacted UC Davis on Monday regarding the D and stating that I’m planning to make up for it through summer session. From what I read, UC Davis works hard with admitted students to see if there’s anything the student can do if they receive a low grade in a core class, such as retaking the class through summer school. Right now, the Undergraduate Admissions office’s Admissions Analyst & Adviser is away on vacation and won’t be back until June 1st, so I can’t contact her until then. She tried to contact me on my home phone back on Wednesday, but I wasn’t home at the time and therefore was unable to get her message.

Yes, i totally have a great crapping semester. Life threws me a lot of ugly faces to me this year. Now I got to redeem myself. Sucks that I couldn’t retake circuit til spring.
