So I'm a junior this year and plan to take two subject tests in June. However, I have no clue what to take.

Ideally, I would've taken Chem and Bio, as I got straight A+'s in my honor classes. However, that was in 9th and 10th grade, and I didn't get AP chem or bio despite requesting them specifically.

How difficult is the subject test for lit and math 2? I'm currently in AP calc AB. I think I can get a 4 on the AP test.

As for reading, I got an 800 on the CR in the SATs with minimal studying, if that is any indicator of how I will do on the lit subject tests. I am taking honors english, not AP, so I am worried about the difficulty of the test.

I have heard the reading is “like CR on steroids” (SAT steroids mind you, like the stuff A. Rod uses). Math 2 is pre-cal+easy limits. Are you saying you are not in AP chem/bio? The Bio/chem tests are based off first year chem/bio classes. Sorry to leave this kind of open-ended, but no one will be able to tell you the exact tests to take. We can only give you more info.

Math 2 is pretty manageable. You can use computer programs on many of the questions. The lit SAT 2 is on the AP english level however you know your ability. So if you are confident enough, study, and you will prob do fine.

No, I am planning to take AP chem and bio next year. I got screwed over, as I was thinking about majoring in a science (possibly some chem field).

Math 2 sounds do-able.

I think I can do well on the lit, just need to brush up on poetry as I despise it and it seems to be a large component.

I am unsure of what science test to take. I haven’t taken bio since 9th grade, and chem since 10th. I am taking hon physics now, but it is moving at a snail’s pace and I doubt I will be ready. I literally sleep 90% of the class, don’t do my HW, and get A’s. Is a science subject test really necessary?

haha, I dunno how I did so good. Didn’t study vocabs except for a few minutes here and there from a vocab book and I barely read the CR sections in the PR book I had.

I do enjoy reading though, so I guess it comes naturally. Read, read, read is my advice.

I think I’ll take the lit, math 2, and maybe physics tests. I need to review some physics to see how much I would need to learn.
