Don't laugh, maybe I seem desperate or something... LOL

Okay, so like so far I have been rejected from a few schools, none of which are my HIGH HOPE ones but it sucks knowing that I am US citizen schooling outside the country and like, the people are me are getting more schools than me!
But like, I got an email from BMC saying this:

Dear *,

We are delighted that you have applied for admission to Bryn Mawr College. Although you indicated on your admissions application intent to apply for financial aid for 2012-2013, your application which was due March 1 is not complete. We may still have time to provide you with a financial aid award that will arrive with your admissions decision.

Is this a good sign?
Does this mean that they are actually considering me or am I deceiving myself?
I never got messages like this from the schools that rejected me.
Is this is a good sign or am I just dreaming?

Honestly, I don’t think it means anything other than that they haven’t discarded your application/your application is on their computer system. It was probably sent to all those who had incomplete financial aid applications.

Good luck!

hahaha…I too received the same email! :P

I received the same thing; it basically informed you to complete your financial aid application. No more than this, I think.

My daughter got that email a couple of days ago, too. Well, I think it may just have been unintentionally worded that way, but the wording COULD make it seem that you are being admitted…because WHY would a financial aid award accompany your admissions decision if it was a rejection, LOL. If you look deeply into how they worded that particular sentence, it gives reason to hope. If we could know if there are applicants who have NOT yet submitted all their financial aid documents who have NOT received that email, then there would be more reason to read more into it…LOL.

I wouldn’t read anything into that letter. And we received it too even though I have already been in touch with the fin aid office a couple times to explain the delay.

Well, my daughter got in. Did everyone else who got that email also get accepted? Did the email mean something, or not?
