the works shows my creativity, opinions, and point of view about the society.

please please please help to chance me. :)
THANKS!

sat scores are within range, good ec’s, gpa is a bit low…

i think it’s a bit of a reach, but if you write a great essay, you should have as much as chance as anyone else.

by the way, i would strongly advise NOT doing early decision.
read the following thread& make your decision wisely

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/cornell-university/960559-cornell-early-decision-misconception.html

ya…my gpa…sigh

i’ll work my butt off for the essay…i hope it will help

wow. that thread is intense…i think he/she is right about the ED thing…hmmm

i KNOW i want cornell…but my gpa is a bit low…and the ED pool is more competitive academically…should i just wait until RD?

I think your gpa is fine and I think you have a good shot.

hi there!

keep in mind that cornell only sees (M+R) which puts at you at 1450 – while thats not bad, a higher SAT may lay the fear of a low gpa to rest

are you sure its a good idea to include 15 pieces of art in the portfolio? Im not an art person but IMO 15 pieces of art is a bit excessive considering the adcoms only have 10 minutes to review your ENTIRE application

others are stuffs are fine, write a good essay and you have a great chance!

good luck with your application

cornell only sees math and reading?!!! noooooooooooo. y can’t they take my writing score :(

may be i’ll cut the numbers down for my portfolio, but i am submitting a portfolio for sure cuz it really shows that i am different.

thanks

yep, submitting a portfolio will definitely help – just make sure that it doesnt interfere with what really matters

apply ed and then you’ll probably make it

@ballpointpen: ya. i’ll make sure other things first and then add the portfolio :)

@GreedIsGood: i hope that works. but is it true that ppl in the ED pool have higher GPA?..since they r all sure that they want cornell… thus more competitive? rlaehgund told me that…http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/cornell-university/960559-cornell-early-decision-misconception.html
