Don't you just hate the whole "[place you live] ---> [college]?

For example:

Seattle Washington -------> MIT '11

What a way to show off where they're going to college, eh? :)

Eh, maybe it's just college pride.

Or just, some sort of way of celebrating after a very long and arduous college application process. :)

Indeed. /comment/

Well, their home is in one place, but they spend most of their time somewhere else very far away.

If you asked people for their #, but they give you their cell# instead of the home# because they're almost never home, would feel as if they're showing off their cells?

i live 10 minutes away from Harvard Univerity and near tons of top colleges, yet I REEEAAAALLLY want to go to a UC!!!

I can't really say if I dislike it or not because I know that's what I'm going to do if I get into A Certain College.

Actually, it'll be more like
"Haha, suckers, look at me!!!"

I added mine two days ago when I'd made my decision, but I've actually always liked seeing everyone else's. I've been around since 2004 (though with a different username), and after "getting to know" some of the posters here over the years, it's interesting to see where they end up.
