Okay, I'm an incoming senior in need of help. This is really hard to say because of such shame that I have on my grades.. First I will tell you some of my scores..

GPA: 2.9~3.0 (dont hate!)
SAT1: 2110
Critical Reading: 700
Math: 770
Writing: 640
Essay: 9

SAT2: Spanish (taking it this October)
*Anyone suggest me taking another one?

Sports: Waterpolo (9th and 10th) < do sports even matter?!
Soccer (10th and 11th)

I'll also tell you a bit about me. I was born in Argentina where I lived there for almost 10 years. I came to this country 6 years ago. Currently, my sister is attending UCSD and my brother is attending UCI.

***I am so lost in the EC's or whatever. Can anyone explain to me the process and any suggestions on what i should do? I'm devoting my whole senior year in improving my grades, knowledge, and everything based on making it far~

Now, on with the colleges I want to assist: (in order of preference)
UCI
UCD
UCSB
SDU
Cal State Fullerton
FJC (if it all comes down to this...)

(any other good colleges?!?!)

Thank you for your time and your opinions will really benefit me in some way. Feel free to have any suggestions because they won't hurt!

I'm such a noob, my siblings did not teach or inform me about anything. So basically I'm lost in the college world...

I think you have a pretty good chance at the UC's, but your lack of EC's is a bit worrying, so I'm not really sure. I think you'll be sure to get in at least one or two of your schools, though, so you won't end up at FJC.

@highopes: Any suggestions on EC's? I did hours teaching SRE (School of Religious Education) at my church, but I'm thinking on doing more community service somewhere. Would community service be all or should I join clubs during my senior year? Thanks for your honesty!

No problem. If you've already got a lot of volunteer hours, why not join a few clubs? It's better to get involved late than never. See what kind of clubs your school offers that relate to what you plan to study in college. I think you're a safe bet for most of your schools even without EC's, but a few more clubs could look good for your application, especially if you can get some kind of leadership position.

So no one else wants to help? Great... comment on those ivy leaguers then... bunch of queers

Anyone?!?!?!?!??!?!!!!?

Can someone please put a smile on my face and CHANCE ME?!??!
I know I may seem annoying but it's just the eagerness and worry that I have!!

Can anyone have the decency to motherchuckin chance me?!?!?

Sigh. I feel your frustration, but really I wouldn't worry too much. Oh, I just thought of this but I remember saying that no one really helped you in your college search. It might be a good idea to address this in your college essay if that's possible. I mean, it would be too absolute to say "No one helped me!" but it sounds like you didn't get too much help from the school or your parents. Is your public school well known for sending students to big-name schools?

I'm a noob also so I can't say anything for sure but I think that

SDU and Fullerton - pretty sure that you will get in

SAT-score wise, you have a very good chance of getting into the UC's you wanted to go to, but I'm a bit worried about the GPA. But out of the three, I think you will get into at least one.

Yeap I'm really worried about my gpa.. I slacked off too much during these years... If I don't get to UCI, I'm gonna butthurt for the rest of my life :/

Bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbump

Please chance me!! BUMP!!!

Uhh sorry for not chancing you, but if you get into UCI or any of the colleges of your choice, I would really like to know! Good luck!!!
