<p>Hey there everyone. I was wondering -- when should we expect to be told what our dorms will be? I sent in my preferences along with my housing deposit not too long ago, so I think I'm all good to go. The only thing left, really, is to see where I'll be living. Thanks! :)</p>
<p>According to the two admissions counselors we met during our visit to SBU last week, as long as you have your housing app stating your Undergraduate College rankings in by 5/1, assignement is now based on a lottery selection, not a first come first serve basis. So if your first choice undergraduage college is full by the time your lottery number comes up, you’ll get your second choice, etc. </p>
<p>A subsequent email from SBU mentioned that you should know which UC (and, therefore which quad) you’re in by 5/15.</p>
