Dorm Fridge

So I just got the fridge for me and my dorm-mate for the fall. It's 2.8 cubic feet. WHen i went to the store to buy it, it seemed a good size, but when I opened it, it seems fairly large.

Are these the same size other's got? Or is mine a mammoth? I know the rooms don't have a ton of room (no pun intended), and I hope it will fit.

Thanks

Thats a good size one. Some ppl get really small ones, but i dont like those cause you can only fit a few things in them. You will be glad you got the bigger one once the year goes by.

Seriously, no one can complain about a large fridge, especially one that can be used to hide the alcohol...

Yikes. Don't tell me that's their main purpose.

What's a good place to get a mini-fridge? I looked around at some stores, and I think Best Buy has the lowest price for one. Any other suggestions? Thanks!

I got mine at walmart

Home Depot has cheap ones too.

Lowes has cheap ones too

Walmart: the high cost of low cost

Maomart can't be beat, but there's always Stalin's Club.

Don't forget Mussolini's Merchandise

I got a nice pair of blood-stained gloves there.

what about renting a microfridge once the roomie and i get to cal? anyone experienced this? good idea, bad idea?

yeah i read that...i'm more looking for past personal experiences, if possible.

[rather than opinions regarding the ease and convenience of ebay vs. having it delivered, etc.]

oh okay. well, my friend did that with her roommates (she was in a triple) and they ended up having two microwaves because one girl brought one, not realizing that a microwave comes with the minifridge. The fridge is fairly good sized and the freezer works (it didn't on my roomie's really old one, which sucked). The delivery/pick up is good...it just sucks cause her roommates were really irresponsible and totally left without even thinking about the fridge so my friend ended up having to clean it and then make sure that it got picked up. It seems like a really convenient thing to do, but I guess the point can be made that you can just buy both yourself for not much more (or less? I don't know) and keep it.
