Dorm Question: Bed

I recall the top bunks having a standard wood railing on them. Nothing too high, but what you'd typically see on a bunk bed. I doubt they make beds without them.

Yeah, I've seen those.

so, can someone clarify... are there already drawers under the beds that are built in? I am in a double suite in unit 1. Also, does anyone know where the dimensions for the rooms are on posted?

beds in unit 1 putnam have a space of about 1"5' under the bed

I seem to remember someone saying long long ago that for a fee you could also get a railing installed so you don't roll off the top bunk to your death. Is this true?

My roommate (I'm living in a Unit 3 triple) got the railing installed free of charge, I believe...along with a ladder. Just contact the housing administration somewhere (sorry, but out of sheer laziness, I never got my own railing even if I'm on also on a top bunk so I don't know where to go for that). To keep death at bay, you could have that done or you could be like me and get acclimated to sleeping close to the walls. (:

Well re: Foothill, the shelves under your bed can be removed and stacked (you just need to have a friend lift the bed a little while doing so); I raise my bed a little bit using the blocks you get at BB&B. There's also space to put your suitcases above the wardrobes.

strange how 1.5 year-old threads are suddenly revived...
