How high above the ground is the bed? I just wanna know if I can fit anything down there (maybe my suitcase)? If it isn't high enough, where do other ppl fit their suitcases?

There is enough room to fit a suitcase, at least there is in Unit 2, but depends on how big it is though...

this might be too much to ask but if ur living in a dorm right now can you measure or estimate how high up? :-/

my suitcase is kinda large.

My response is from my memory of last year... :)

Double or triple? For triple you could easily fit any large suitcase behind the desk that is shared by two people. Enough room for two big suitcases, even three.

For double there is an opening next to and behind the drawers that are under the bed to store a suitcase(s).

if you're in a triple, don't forget that you'll have two other people who ALSO want to put their suitcases under the bed (there's only one 'under the bed' in a triple because the other bed has a second desk under it, and the third bed is on top of the first one)

In Foothill, they put drawers under our beds, so we had only maybe 1/4 to 1/3 of the space available. Height-wise it could definitely fit your average suitcase.

hmmm. i measured and the width of my suitcase is 12 inches. that's a foot...

the bed for a triple is that high up the ground?...

is there a drawer for clothes and such in unit 2 double under the bed? so i don't need to take my own space organier stuff?

i think im gonna get bed risers so i have more storage room for underneath the bed

I do believe you cannot raise your bed due to a policy.

Well, not totally true...you can loft your bed ONLY if you contact hall management and they do it for you. It also costs a fee...I'm not sure how much. You can't do it yourself though for safety reasons (what with the San Andreas fault and everything).

Right. Thanks for the clarification.

Yes, the Hayward Fault runs right underneath Memorial Stadium, that thing can bring over a 7.0 quake.

I believe it is $50.

and this is for doubles who want to sleep high and have room underneath for more space right? how high do they make it?

They make it as high as the top bed of a bunk set.

Yes, to loft beds it's a $50 fee.

can anyone measure the height of a bed in a triple (the bottoe one)?

pleaseeeeeeeeee. i really doubt its 1 feet high

You seem sure you will get that lower bunk bed.

I seem to remember someone saying long long ago that for a fee you could also get a railing installed so you don't roll off the top bunk to your death. Is this true?
