dorm question, more specificaly tenaya

so I got a single in tenaya and I was wondering how the houses are labeled

for example, I got the C house so would that be the third floor from the top or bottom?

thanks

A house- floors 1&2
B house- floors 3&4
C house- floors 5&6
D house- floors 7&8

your exact floor would depend on your room #

I’m in J-House for Tioga… anyone know how Tioga works?

^The same as Tenaya?

If you want to know about Tioga, I suggest asking more specific questions

Ah my bad, I should have made myself clearer. I wanted to know how the floor numbers correlate to the houses, like the information paradise17 provided for Tenaya. So what floor number(s) is J-House on?

Ah.

So for Tioga it breaks down to:

House: Floors:
E 1/2
F 3/4
G 5/6
H 7/8
J 9/10

Oh sweet top 2 floors! thanks!

I got TE-D31a. :D

@Salaams:

Oh hey I’m in C house in Tenaya also! We’re going to be house mates LOL!

@paradise17 where would tenaya A14 be? is that the 2nd floor? or first?

@love21: That sounds like it’s 1st floor because it’s 1.

The 10-40 suites are generally the first floor of a house and the 50-80s suites are on the second floor of a house.

Ex: TE-B72 is B house on the fouth floor.

And fyi you guys… I WOULD NOT put up your room assignments on here. These forums are open and any creeper could just find where you guys are living.

@8008135… We’re housemates next year.

^You say don’t post where you’re living, and then you tell us where you’re living. I also don’t think that creepers go on CC to find people to creep on.

lover21…sup housemate. A House hollllaaaaaaa

@Avib0y Sweet. But aren’t you a second-year student? :o And do you know if we have an ocean-view?

second years can live in res halls and first years can live in apartments.

^For Muir at least. Not at Warren and I don’t think at the other colleges either. Somebody correct me if I’m wrong.

oh yeah, that was under the assumption that we were only talking about muir. hahaha.
and it will probably be only this year that first years can live in the apartments because the c/o 2013 is muir’s smallest class in years.

anyone else in d house??

@Kings… Yeah, I was very hypocritical there. And you never know who comes onto these websites. It is an open forum so pretty much any person could come on here. Not that they will, but there is the possibility.

@8008135… You have an ocean view room. And like someone said, second years can also live in the dorms or apartments (we get to pick our specific room from a list of available) and first years can also live in the dorms or apartments. Its just that you guys dont really get to pick.

As for other colleges, more specifically Warren, I’m pretty sure first years can live in the apartments. One of my friends from high school last year got put into the warren apartments his first year.
