John Muir Housing question… I am going for a Residence Hall---- double

Tenaya Hall vs Tioga Hall… Which one should I pick?

I only had a chance to visit one of dorms which was Tioga Hall. What is the male to female ratio of Tioga Hall? Tenaya Hall? What is the best thing you heard about Tioga and/or Tenaya Hall? Dislikes/likes about a particular hall?

what I've heard like 5,001 times is that Tioga is better. there's a much better chance you'll get an ocean view from the higher floors, plus i heard it was being renovated this summer.

im not trying to burst bubbles or anything, but when they "renovated" the suites at UCLA a few years back, all they did was put new carpet throughout and new couches in the common room. that's all they did.

if everyone chooses the better hall, then that defeats the point of choosing doesnt it?..since there will be a bigger demand for limited supply of rooms, and in the end they will assign ppl randomly

Nahhh, aim for the double. Or hope that your third person moves out >:]

My first year, I had a triple but one of our roommates moves out after like the first month. No one else ever moved in. The room was perfect for the two of us.

And regardless of what floor you live on in Tioga, you can still hop on the elevator and go up to watch the sunset. ;) We did it quite often, even though I was on 4th floor.

Oh, and I found some pictures I took from my first year. I was in Tioga, 4th floor. FHOUSE!

Anyways, enjoy Tioga! Best place to be social, so take advantage and have a blast!
;) Let me know when you need pictures for 2nd year apartments.
