Anyone know when we (people accepted EDI) are notified about residence hall and living information? Do we get special preference over the regular decision people or EDII people?

Also, more importantly, is anyone on this board currently a student at Vassar. If so (or if anyone knows), which are the best residence halls to live in (i'm a male who enjoys partying/drinking sometimes and wants the ability to study in my room too)? Also, is it in ANY way possible to get a single as a freshman?

The acceptance letter said we find out about residential stuff in May. I don't know if we get preference though.

Jewett (sp?) is the most appealing to me, aesthetically. It has just been renovated and is really nice.

I bought this book called Vassar College: The Architectual Guide and while I havent been in the dorms with the exception of one which Im not sure about, the pictures of them all make them out to look very nice. Of course the older buildings and ones that haven't been renovated must look worse but I think I'll be happy with any of them.

What Im curious about is some things I've read that say that buildings such as Noyes have their own type of students, typically more out there, likely to be reading Star Trek and what not. I question how true that is though.

Im so excited to go that any building works for me. I am excited to fill out the forms that they use to make matches.

if you go to the vassar livejournal community, and go to their 'memories' they have a post about the differences between the dorms. it is very informative. go to livejournal dot com and search for vassar under interests. the community is there

Can someone give me the link to what the above post is referring to?

I didnt find any mention of the dorm room although I did read a lot of posts from some students.
