Dorms at RPI and athletes

Do most athletes live at the ECAV ?
If so, please describe the dorms there ?
If not, why not ? Not enough space, or better places to live ?

For those who want to live on campus, can upperclassmen get a dorm if they want ?

I can’t answer the athlete question, but yes upper classmen can live in dorms.

ecav is the athletic fields, so there aren’t any dorms.
most athletes live wherever on campus. the dorms are average for any college.

Many athletes live in BARH, which is near ECAV:

@dadinator and @mea1997 Thanks. I saw apartments along Kellogg drive behind the athletic buildings. Just assumed was part of the complex. That is not university housing ?

Those apartments used to be upperclassman and married student housing. I recall a couple of fraternities located near the field house being considered “jock” houses. Upperclassmen can certainly live in a dorm, but Greek life is a big (35-40%) part of campus living.
