Dorms at WashU

Does anyone have an opinion on the best dorms at WASHU? I was assigned a 6 person suite in Dauten Hall. My friend got Park and another in Koenig. I’m nervous and appreciate your thoughts.

Dauten is one of the traditional dorms. Amenities may not be the best according to some people but the best friendships are made in the traditional dorms.

Dauten is a traditional (so not ideal) but it does have in-suite bathrooms and large in-suite common rooms. Park is one of the oldest modern dorms and has 6 person suites but has large rooms (I think) and is pretty nice overall. Both are kind of far from BD and main campus. Koenig is definitely one of the nicer dorms and is pretty close to main campus and BD. In general though, all the dorms are pretty nice. Check out the student life housing guide for more info.

Koenig is definitely one of the nicer dorms and its sister dorm for upperclassmen (Liggett) shares an entrance with it.

My son says that the traditional dorms are better for making friendships. He hung out in his friend’s room in Dauten more often than staying in his nice single in Eliot.
