What dorms are closest to the Harpur College of Sciences? Also, are there any relaxed RA's, because I stay up all night sometimes, so I like to eat a lot for snacks. Is there a starbucks on campus, or any good coffee shops?
What does break and chemical free mean?

I believe Hinman is the closest. There is a starbucks (but you cant use a starbucks card) . here is a link about the break and chemical free housing. http://www.binghamton.edu/residential-life/future-students/accommodations.html

Your classes aren’t situated in a specific building or buildings, they can be all over the place (e.g. Philosophy class in the eng building, math class in Fine Arts). You’re sort of misunderstanding how colleges work.

As for what you mean to ask, Hinman is the closest to where classes are generally held - that’s why so many Asians live there. Mountain view is the furthest and up a giant hill (mountain).

Break housing = you don’t kicked out during thanksgiving

Chem free = you promise to not have fun in college. I heard most people don’t take this seriously.

As for coffee, all the dining halls have mediocre coffee. They just opened up a Starbucks on campus last week.

There is no Harpur building, class can be anywhere. Hinman is considered the closest, but honestly, the entire campus takes like at most 20 minutes to walk across. I’d say Newing, not Mountain View, is farthest but it wasn’t a big deal. It’s only like four minutes farther than Dickinson or CIW.

There’s no rule against late night snacking, so the relaxation-level of your RA shouldn’t affect you… and they literally just opened a 24/7 “Starbucks” on campus so you’re in luck there. I think Hinman’s little convenience store is open until very late, too. The Starbucks coffee is good, and I don’t mind Einstein’s either.

Break housing is for students who don’t go home for major holidays, and chem-free is for those who don’t want drugs or alcohol.

Thanks! My parents never went to college in USA so I haven’t got a clue for what I’m in for.
