Dorms

I'm considering on choosing Martyr's Court for my freshman dorm in the Fall because of the air conditioning. I assume air conditioning will be very important when it gets hot in the summer. Is it worth the small space? Is Martyr's really as bad as they say it is? What do you think?

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Everyone has different expectations and needs. My kid was in Queens freshman year and did fine. A few hot days in September and May, but they just opened the windows and ran fans. Not a major issue. For others, air conditioning is a necessity.

Martyr’s is generally considered to be the worst dorm on campus due to the small rooms. I don’t think the a/c is a big deal – it only helps the first and last few weeks. My freshman year we had a couple of fans.
