I’m a horrible chef. If I leave any of my homemade meals in the fridge, my dormmates might get food poisoning:(

I love to cook (healthy and unhealthy), so I hope they have something in my dorm more than a fridge and microwave. However, there’s a lot you can do with a microwave (microwave cakes, popcorn, dip, potatoes, frozen meals, etc.) so even that would be satisfactory.

I would feel so confined with only I microwave. I’d be able to make oatmeal (just rolled oats) and boil water. Oh, and air-popped popcorn. That’s it, unless I could make my own frozen meals at home.

I don’t like preservatives.

I tried a yummy single-serving chocolate cake that was made in the microwave one time. Just some cocoa, milk, flour, sugar, maybe some other stuff in a mug and microwaved.

I’ve done those! chocolatecoveredkatie.com has some great mug cake recipes! (And other recipes, for that matter.)

Great microwave snacks.

St. Paul’s has full kitchens. A student was making muffins while she was between classes on our tour and gave one to our DD.

So jealous! That will be me some day.

Me too, hopefully.

I don’t cook. Except for ramen noodles.

@mrnephew I cook, but for I’m going to cook at boarding school (for my dormmates’ benefit).

My dormmates are going to benefit by a gigantic stockpile of chips and cookies and sierra mist that’s stored in my closet with a padlock on it. :)

The summer before I end up living in a dorm, I’m going to ask for a gazillion Lärabars for my birthday.

And an industrial safe.

Kids, might I suggest that if you loosen your hold on your food a bit, you might just make a few extra friends. CK is the most popular kid in the dorm when I send care packages. Just sayin’ ;)

Food=friends.

I will loosen, just a little. So I’ll just lock my room, no padlock. :)

:P

A bite of my Lärabar once a term? Will that do it?

I’m going to be very lonely.

oops I meant *I’m NOT going to cook for my dormmates’ benefit

Huh, that’s interesting. I wonder if I could make a bunch of ramen and that would get me friends. ;)
