Can classes double-count for two different major/minors? For example, if I take Biostatistics, can that count as credit for both a Bio major and a Math minor?

I don’t think so. but then again, I’m not familiar with the new IQ curriculum. Could be different. Definitely not if you’re not going to be a freshman though.

It appears to depend on the specific department and course. In this specific case:

For the math minor: v) Double counting: at least two of the four upper level courses counted toward the minor must not be used to fulfill the requirements (including “elective requirements”) of any other major, minor, or program.

I can’t find anything on the biology page about double-counting courses. However, I don’t actually think that biostatistics counts toward a bio major anyways, does it?

Math major you are allowed one total course to double count.

I also can’t see any mention of biostats counting for bio.

^ I imagine you mean upper divs, right? Otherwise it’d be impossible to double major with math (if you’re a major that requires any form of math).

Yeah, only one upper level course can be double counted for the math major.
