Double Major Advice?

Hi, I am a high school senior and I am unsure what to do with myself. I want to go into politics, and I intend on Double Majoring.

Obviously Poli Sci is the first component of the double major, but the second part is where it gets tricky. On the one hand, Economics would be useful, practical, and probably help me form policy. However, my passions lies with History, which can perhaps help me avoid making mistakes past Congresses have made. I feel torn, because Economics seems more useful, but I just don't feel as passionate about it as I do with History. Any advice would be helpful, thanks.

It’s my policy that you’ll always have more success in what your most passionate about, so I would go with history.

Go with what you are passionate about. You’ll learn more because you’ll actually have a desire to learn about the subject you are studying. If you are serious about getting into politics, you will have to form your economic policy at some point, but that doesn’t mean it has to happen through undergraduate classes. Take time outside of class to do personal research while you are earning a history degree.

Good luck to you!
