So I am going to be an International Business major, for that major you have to also have a language concentration- for me It will be Japanese. I was already considering in minoring in Japanese since I have to concentrate in it anyways. Considering that international business is so generalized, I was wondering if it would be worth it to double major in either Finance or Marketing?
Wait until you get to college and see what is feasible to do and still graduate in 4 years. FWIW I think finance is a more employable major as compared to marketing.
My $.02, I think International Business programs can vary wildly from school to school. Some seem very rigorous, with meaningful language & study abroad requirements, in addition to a good core of business classes. Other seem a little more of an after-thought. The other way to do it, would be go in as a finance major and take a bunch of Japanese courses as electives (minor if it makes sense).
Don’t worried about it . Just take some regular classes to figure out the major in college during the freshmen year. Many students didn’t know their major until sophomore year.
