Double Major and marching band?

I am going to be a longhorn in the fall and I plan on double majoring in computer science and math. I was wondering how difficult it would be to do marching band even though I am going to probably be taking a lot of hours? Anyone have any experience with this?

Someone posted a while back ago that Longhorn band was less of a time committment than HS band. Maybe if you do a search on ‘longhorn band’ in this forum?

My son is also planning on doubling in CS and Math. According to the CS advisor that combination is one of the easiest, as double majors go - lots of overlap. He said “piece of cake”.

thank you so much eaglemom10! this is great to hear.

You will have time to decide since technically you can’t double major until you complete a certain amount of hours from the degree requires the most hours.

The fact that math and computer science are both in the College of Natural Sciences helps make this double major more manageable.
