I'm currently a sophomore at NYU in the liberal studies program. I want to major in marketing/advertising (MCC Steinhardt) but I've realized that I won't be happy or satisfied doing that alone. In addition to MCC at Steinhardt I want to try to major in Economics at CAS as well as minor in Business Studies. Is this at all doable? I have yet to speak to an advisor and am planning this out myself for now. I haven't taken econ yet but am pretty good at math and statistics. I'm only missing 3 classes for the business studies minor, 2 of which would also apply to the econ major. I know I'm getting ahead of myself but I want to know what I'm looking at before going to speak to an advisor.

Trying to complete a double major with a minor isn’t usually easy, as they require a lot of classes each AND departments at NYU sometimes will not let you count one class towards both requirements.

It certainly isn’t impossible though. I did a double major and a minor with absolutely no classes that ‘double counted’ and graduated in three years. You just need to check to see that you have enough time to take all the required courses.
