I'm interested in the school of cinematic arts program in interactive media. I'd also like to major in something related to business.

Ideally, I hope to be running a video game company sometime in the future, so I'd rather not be completely limited with one major. A business background would also be very useful.

I'm not quite sure how do-able a double major in these two would be- it all depends on units. Look at the course catalogue on USC's website and see how many requirements each major has (plus General Education requirements), and see if it would fit into four years. If it will, go for it! If not, you may have to take summer classes, or you may want to consider minoring in one, and majoring in the other. Whatever you decide, USC will support you, because it really likes double majors and minors.

This double major might be a challenge to fit into four years. Like all of the SCA majors, there is an extensive list of required classes for the IM major, including film production, which need to be taken in specific order, while Marshall requires its own long list of classes, including Calc. and statistics, I believe. In addition, admission to the School of Cinematic Arts is highly competitive (4% admission rate) with weight given to the creative supplement as well as stats, ECs, etc. Marshall Business School has its own highly selective process for admission, so a student hoping to double major would need to be accepted separately into both schools.

As an alternative, depending on the outcome of your application, perhaps one major and one minor would work. There is also a business major that focuses on interactive media, I believe. Check out the Marshall website and good luck.
