I am a double langauge major/premed from MIT. I have always been interested in I-banking and strategic consulting of the type Booze Allen does. I was wondering since I don't have any finance, econ, business classes could I get any tips on how to be a competitive i-banking/consulting applicant?

I am told that one only needs to quick think, and that only some internships require very specific quantitative skills.

I am working for the state department this summer, writing briefs on the middle east.

I hate to come off as the bad guy, but ibanking and consulting are pretty different things. I'd look more into either to see which one suits you.

As a language/premed major who is interning at the state department and is unsure about ibanking/consulting, I think investment banks will be turned off as they will be unsure if it is really what you want to do. If you've always been interested in it, then you should have taken some finance/accounting classes to show that. You're only chance is to network & to become an expert on the market in your free time... focus on your language major (and international experience) and maybe even apply to a non-US location
