I am a High School graduating senior who will be attending a four year university in the fall. While I was in High School, I was able to take 86 dual enrollment credits through a High School program that is offered in my county. These Credits include General Chemistry 1 and 2, Calculus 1, 2, and 3, Physics A With Calculus, and enough other courses for me to earn an Associate’s Degree while still in High School.
My planned major in college is chemical engineering, and I have been able to get a pretty good head start on that. Since I have such a jump start, along with the fact that all of my sequential courses will be out of sync for the first three semesters, I was thinking about double majoring in Chemical Engineering and Business Management. Would it be worth it to double major, or would a major in chemical engineering and a minor in business management be more appropriate? Is the dual major any more beneficial than the major + minor? I’m starting to make a game plan, and I would really appreciate some input from you all!
