Okay, I'm fairly new this business world. I'm a freshman at Iowa State (don't laugh b/c it's not a typical CC school...I love it here) and will be a pre-business major at semester. I came in as exercise science, for various reasons decided to change majors, and that's how I got where I am. My career goal is to work for either 1.) A large sporting goods company (Nike, Adidas, etc), 2.) Professional sports team, or 3.) Olympics. I'm currently on track to enter the "Management" option but was told its the broadest major in the Business College. (FYI--student enters as pre-bus, and typically after soph year enters professional phase which is when I would declare Management as my major). I guess I'm an "exception", since I'll be a soph at semester and will be able to declare in May. The thing is, I don't know where I want to work--in an administrative/management role or in a marketing setting. So basically I'm debating between double majoring in Management and Marketing, Majoring in Marketing w/ a management minor, or Majoring in Management w/ a marketing minor. All I need for the double major is 15 add'l credits of Marketing, so I'm thinking this is my best option

I've been told by some to transfer to a school with Sports Management but for the most part have been told that having a Business degree is much more highly regarded and the "sport" aspect will come naturally. And I love ISU and can't see myself anywhere else, except when I do my study abroad.

Here's my Spring '07 schedule if it's any help:
Financial Accounting
Intro to Microeconomics
Intro to Sociology
Discrete Math for Business (aka Business Calc)
Legal Environment of Business (similar to Bus Law)

Sorry for the long and confusing post but ANY help will be greatly appreciated!
