Double Major or Major Minor?

Hello!

I am a junior in college and about to graduate next year.

I am on route to graduate on time with a major (Public Relations) and minor (Psychology). I would be taking approximately 12 credits each semester to finish up my last year.

My academic adviser said I am 4 classes away from getting a second major in Psychology. I would receive a double major in Public Relations and Psychology. This would mean that if I took 18 credits per semester next year, I would graduate with a double major.

Which would you guys recommend? I have taken 18 credits each semester since I entered college, so I could definitely handle it. But a part of me is thinking that I want to devote more time to living it up in college and making the most of my experience here. The other part of me is wanting to do what is best for my future. My future is up in the air right now, but I most likely will go to graduate school in either Business or Psychology.

If I did the first route, I would take Public Relations classes with Spanish and Business elective classes. If it was the second route, I would strictly have to take Public Relations and Psychology classes, without taking Spanish or Business classes like 5th and 6th semester Spanish, 5th semester conversational Spanish and Micro & Macro economics.

Like I said, I am stuck in a bind; I have my friends pushing me to do less and my adviser pushing me to do more.

Thanks for all your help in advance!

Do what you feel you can and feel you were meant to do, listen to your heart.

Personally I believe it’s better to have done too much than too little, well course wise. If you take it you can look back at it knowing you took it, yet if you don’t you might regret not taking it.
On the other hand do what you can manage, are you stressed out and over whelmed with what you’re doing now?

Good luck.
