I was wondering if its doable to double major in chemical engineering as well as secondary education or if it is even worth it.
Thanks
No. You will not have time in a regular 4 year schedule.
Chem Eng is already like a double major. Anything more would be triple
It would be better to take elective classes that have to do with your major. I wouldn’t get the second degree.
I guess a reasonable question would be why secondary education? Do you want to teach? Chem E seems like a pretty technical, very challenging, overly qualified background for a high school teacher. Tell us more about why you asked.
Get the Chemical Engineering degree only and take electives. If, at a later time, you decide you want to teach in a high school, it is relatively easy to get a teaching credential along with a Master of Science Education in a year or two.
