Hey guys,
I’m currently a first year transfer student, hoping to double major statistics with a major. I’m thinking about psychology, but that does require a long time of schooling. I dislike finance and computer science. What do you guys recommend? :-S
Why do you want to double major? Double majors are rarely helpful come job-searching time.
What are your post-graduation goals?
Depending on what they are, taking elective course work in a subject related to those goals can be helpful. For example, actuarial jobs are often targeted by statistics majors, so they may choose to take electives in areas recommended at http://www.beanactuary.com . Students intending to go on to PhD study in statistics may choose electives in advanced math as well as additional statistics courses.
