I would like to double major in Theatre Arts and English Education in college. Do I need to inform the college of this on my application somehow, or just after I get accepted declare double major? I am applying to CSULB, CSULB, CSUV, and CSULA!

No, you don’t need to declare a major on the apps at all, though you can list those as interests.
Good luck!!

I am doing the exact same thing!

If it gives you more than one place to jot down your academic interests, then by all means put all three down. If not, they’re not going to bind you to what you put on your application, because most people change their minds.

You just have to make sure that the schools allow you to pursue it. For example, I was going to apply to NYU, but they didn’t allow me to mix a major from Tisch (Theatre) with whichever school the teacher certification was through.

Most schools * do * allow you to combine interests in that way, but it’d be best to make sure that it’s possible. I really don’t think you’d have to worry, though.
(If you’ve already done so, just ignore this.)

Good luck!
