<p>Hello I am going to be attending UCR for this upcoming year and was wondering how hard it would be to double major there? The major I am going into is physics and I was thinking of doubling it up with electrical engineering. Any advice would be greatly appreciated ^_^</p>

EE as a major is pretty tough and time consuming. As well, it can be tricky since Physics is part of CNAS and EE is BCOE. They both have different breadth courses and requirements. Such as the physics for an EE major is the PHYS 40 series and Physics majors are PHYS 41 series.<br>
This is something I would definitely talk to an academic advisor about this. Try contacting a BCOE advisor via email to discuss if this is possible would be my best bet.

<p>I am in a similar situation. I want to double major in mechanical engineering and computer engineering. But don’t want to go to school for 2 more years…</p>
<p>i think if you really enjoy what you learn, you won’t mind staying for another 2 years.</p>
<p>also, UCR does have a list of Prohibited Double Majors. I don’t know why they do this, but here is the Prohibited List for BCOE:</p>

I had a learning community leader who was a Mechanical Engineering major with a minor in Computer Science I believe. If it wasn’t a minor, it was a double major. Have you thought of just doing the CS minor? I know there are a lot less classes and Computer Engineering is almost like a double major as it is. but good luck with whatever you do choose! More power to you if you can get through all of it!</p>
