I was accepted into the Elliot School for International Relations but I was wondering if I could do a double major with Poli-sci and how I should go about doing that. Hope it's not to late.

First of all see what classes and how many classes you need to take for international affairs. I recommend making a spreadsheet listing what classes you’ll be taking for each semester you’re at GW. Students typically take 5 classes each semester. You can find some information about what classes you’ll need to take here: [Introduction to the Major | Elliott School of International Affairs | The George Washington University](Undergraduate Academics | Elliott School of International Affairs | The George Washington University)

Next take a look at what classes you would take if you were doing poli sci. Those classes can be found here (you may need to do some digging to find everything you’ll need to take): http://departments.columbian.gwu.edu/politicalscience/sites/default/files/PSC%20MAJOR%202013-2014.pdf

Then check to see if there is space in your schedule to fit in all the extra classes you’ll need for poli sci. If there is, schedule an appointment with your advisor and talk to them about wanting to double major. I’m not totally sure if you’ll need to complete the general education requirements for the Columbia School for your double major in poli sci. I added on a computer science major this last semester to my degree and was told that I only had to complete the requirements for my original major. Bottom line, talk to your advisor as soon as possible about possibly double majoring in poli sci. Good luck!
