B-W is a conservatory, correct? Would there be anyway to double major in both a liberal arts degree (such as education or english) and also Musical Theatre?

BW is a conservatory in a LAC setting. It depends, if you came you may be able to pull it off considering you will have many transfer credits. That would be somthing to discuss with admissions for sure. But you would have no problem with having a minor

BWMT09 - Hi. This doesn't pertain to BW but I was reading the different posts today and saw your location was Chicago/Cleveland. I was wanting to know if you knew anything about the MT program at North Central College. It's located in Naperville, IL (outside of Chicago) and my S was looking at colleges in and areound the Chicago area for MT degree. Do you know anyhting aobut the program/college?

I believe that the program at Baldwin Wallace is a BM. The issue with double majoring becomes a little more complicated.... In a double major if you receive one degree, two majors.... ex. double major - BM is Musical Theatre Performance and Music Education...

If your child wanted to get a degree in Musical Theatre Performance and History, for example, this would most likely be a double degree (at B-W or a school where the MT degree was a BFA or BS, not a BA).... ex. a BM in Musical Theatre performance and a BA in History. These will have different core requirements. You should contact the school directly to find out (1) what the dual degree requirements are, (2) is it possible, (3) if it will take additional time in school.

Each school will administer this differently.
