I plan to double major in philosophy and computer science. Do you think this would be feasible while graduating in four years? Do you need a lot of credits to get a computer science major? What about a philosophy major? How extensive are the gen eds? I have quite a few AP credits and would be willing to take summer classes.
I know there can be no precise answer to this question, but I appreciate your help.
What college are you attending - CLA or CSE?
CLA.
Here are the major requirements for both. Look them over thoroughly as well as the sample plans at the side bars. You’ll want to note any potential course that counts for more than one requirement (for instance, math might be both a Gen. Ed. and a Pre Req). Stay in touch with your advisor so that you are on track at all times. Because you are doing this through CLA you should be able to get out in four years but you’ll be busy. Excellent combination! BTW, you can minor in either one so keep that open as an option.
