<p>In the Fall of 2011 I’ll be attending Cal Poly as a Business Major. I’ve had some second thoughts about simply majoring in Business, as I intend to pursue an MBA later on. Double majoring is difficult anywhere, but I was thinking of doubling in relatively easier subjects (Business and something environmental). Would it be recommended to attempt double majoring in these or would a minor be more reasonable?</p>

<p>You better contact the academic counseling rep in the business department. If you are talking about Cal Poly, SLO (not Cal Poly Pomona), then you will have to make sure that double majoring is even possible at Cal Poly. They are pretty strict about majors and the time line that they want you to complete school. Considering how intense a business major at Cal Poly will be, minoring may be your best bet. Again, I am no expert so contact the business department. One thing that I do know is that you can do a concentration in one of several areas. One includes international business – that seems a really cool option.</p>
