<p>The only issue is that most people at Cal Poly have a challenging enough time, academically speaking (both work load and time to graduation), with just engineering, let alone an additional major. </p>
<p>Also, since you are admitted under business, you will need to gain entrance into engineering college which has a substantially more stringent admission requirements than b-school. If it were the inverse (you were first admitted under ME), it would have been easier. SLO will look at your high school grades + SAT/ACT to again consider your admission to college of engineering.</p>
<p>Also, ME is probably one of the toughest, if not the toughest, engineering major to get into. So it will be challenging to say the least to double major in business + ME.</p>
<p>ah okay! thanks! i figured its going to be hard to graduate in 4 years anyways with just business because of all the budget cuts so taking on another major would help kill time. now that i think more into it, it seems more and more of a bad idea.</p>
