Double majoring UCI

I'm going to be attending UCI as a freshman this fall, and was admitted for business economics. I was wondering if it was possible to double major in business economics and computer science and whether or not it's a good idea. Thanks for any help in advance.

Hey Striker0299, I’m not sure if things have changed in the last 2-3 years, but according to data from http://www.assessment.uci.edu/undergraduate/retention-grad.asp (specifically, http://www.assessment.uci.edu/undergraduate/documents/Ug_Degrees_2001-02_to_2010-11_9-12-11_000.pdf) there were no double majors in the school of information and computer science. As you can see there are quite a few double (and even triple!) majors in the school of social science, but a lot less in the other schools. I think that school must have a lot of units required for the regular major, or perhaps the way the statistics are recorded is misleading.

Its possible. I did econ and ics at UCI. http://www.oir.uci.edu/files/enr/IIA12-enr-dupl-hdcnt-2012-13.pdf?R=40046
