Double Majoring

I am interested in Double-Majoring during my time at UIUC.
The two subjects are EE and Finance, although I have only applied and been accepted to EE James Scholar Honors.

How do I double major?

I'd like to plan out all my classes now to see if it's feasible, is this possible?

Also, how hard is it to transfer from UIUC to a high caliber school like University of Pennsylvania after my first year at UIUC?

Any help, especially from reps or alumni would be greatly appreciated.

BUMP. Help would be appreciated.

It is logistically hard to double-major with UIUC’s College of Business (COB). If I go to UIUC, I plan to double-major in Mathematics (in LAS) and Finance (in COB). I was admitted to the COB so I can pursue a double major in LAS; however, if I had applied to LAS, the COB would not have let me do a double-major.

Basically, I believe the COB has to be your “primary” school in order to receive a major there. You will need to determine if this is also true of Engineering. If so, that may pose a problem. I am not sure.

I would suspect it is much more difficult to transfer to Penn (particularly if you are aiming at Wharton) than to attend there initially. There are far fewer slots available to transfers (and probably quite a few highly qualified applicants), and you have much less time to distinguish yourself with college credentials in one year than after four years of high school achievement.

(Disclaimer: I am just a high school senior, and do not know any of this to be completely 100% true. This is just the best of my understanding do to the reading/research I have done. However, none of this is strictly fact, so please don’t let me misinform you.)

In 4 years, i do not think it is feasible to double major in finance and EE. There’s just too many requirements and pretty much no overlap between those 2 majors.

Would Marketing and Sports Management be a realistic double major?

How about EE and Math (Statistics) ? Also, I understand that Wharton isn’t east to transfer into, but I believe I am capable of making the grades and Internship experiences of the calibre that would make me a worthy candidate. I am only curious to hear if the “UIUC name” will help or hurt me in making the transition.
