I'm thinking of double majoring with two distinct majors in engineering and humanities. Is that really hard to do?

b u m p ? ?

You don't have to declare a major until the end of sophomore year. Can't you just wait until you get to Yale to start thinking about majoring, let alone double-majoring, in something? Most people change their minds drastically once they arrive on campus. You'll get more of a feel for the classes and requirements once you get there; plus, you'll have an advisor to chat with about this kind of stuff. And even better, you'll be able to meet and ask students doing that sort of thing about it as well (I don't think you'll get many good responses on CC, mainly because I don't see that many current Yale students hanging around on the boards... I may be wrong).
