Double-majoring

I heard a lot of people say to never double-major cause it never works out in the end and it is too much work. I was wondering if there are any who think differently...or rather, I want people's opinions about double-majoring.

I want to double because I might end up going to UF. I know I am going to major in Adv. but their adv. program seems lax. I really want to go to BU, but it is so expensive that UF seems more likely. Because of the lax-ness of UF, I might double-major to satisfy my needs...so it would probably be me doubling Adv. and Film and Media Studies or Graphic Design. HOWEVER, if you know personally that the Adv. program at UF allows an artistic direction then that might change my mind, otherwise...it's plan A for me...what do you guys think?

And I've heard a lot of people say their double major was valuable to them. I think it depends on the individual. What is too much work for one person is not too much work for another. I think you need to assess your own talents and skills because we here cannot really tell you what will be reasonable for you.

i understand...i was just asking opinions...despite the opinions i would get i would still make my own assessment regardless, but thx for the advice ^^
