Double Major?

Hi! I'm entering UF this Fall as a BFA Musical Theatre major. The BFA program is pretty intense, and I have a lot of required courses that will take up my time. However, I would really like to have a sort of backup option, as I know that the BFA degree isn't exactly the most reliable way to a career. So I'm looking for another major that will help me to have a successful job after college, but that won't take up all of my time. Right now, the ones I am particularly interested in are

Economics
Education
English
Journalism
Music Education
Political Science
Psychology (although I might not be able to, as it's overenrolled)
Telecommunication

I know, that's a lot! Would any of those majors offer me a course load that isn't too strenuous? If not, what other majors would? I'm a pretty smart kid, the only majors I'm definitely NOT interested in would be Chemistry and Engineering. I'm also aware that double majoring could lead to spending longer than four years at UF. That's alright with me :)

Thanks in advance!

they typically don’t let you double major unless you can show that you can graduate in 4 years of less. its worth pursuing, however.

that said, education is your best option there. economics is second best, but really, economics isn’t worth a whole lot unless you have some other angle, like math or stats, or a decent business background.

I think it’s doable, as most of my GE credits are taken care of with AP classes. And yeah, Education didn’t look too strenuous. Thanks, I’m definitely considering it!
