Double room to myself.

Lol sorry I don’t live in a super nice hotel dorm.

The ones at my school don’t seem like hotels but they don’t look like a psych ward…

What school do you go to?

Zombie, it’s not that hard to know where you’re going when
1)I already knew you live in OK.
2)Your locations says you live in OK.
3)You say you’re going to a local private university. (UoT and OCU come to mind…)
4)You post you’re going to OCU in a previous post.

:)

I knew.

Lol danget! I keep forgetting that people here like to actually go through people’s post history…so dedicated/creepy lol.

Not the first, but the second is a room in the dorm I’m in this year.

The only difference is that room is full of stuff! I’m going to buy some stuff and make my dorm look nice.

That dorm of your look a little bigger than mine. But it look horribly dreadful (that hallway is like welcome to the medical ward). Hopefully you’ll put some color in that room.

Mine is like just walk in and 3 feet in are the desks and then the beds go till there is about half a foot to the end. Will be lofted of course. My inital goal would be to make much space as possible (or rather the illusion of having a spacious room).
The room size would be similar to what I got now so I KNOW I don’t have much space.

Tips on how to create the illusion of space?

I think the difference is a bit more than that…The one in your video reminds me of a psych ward…I think it’s how the walls are that cinderblock style…And the beds have no headboards or footboards which looks strange…

Creating the illusion of space…Best thing is to keep everything low. That room actually looks to be only a bit smaller than my actual bedroom. Which I have to myself. My floor is cluttered in an organized way. But the only things over two thirds of the way up the wall are these two shelves that hold Barbies. When you have everything low instead of stacked high, you can actually see how big the room is.

Mirror is the best thing for the job of illusion of course.
But seriously basically you just move stuffs until you feel like you have more space(or until you feel more comfortable) even though it’s very unlikely you will even use the spaces you move stuffs from.

You’re really lucky to not have a roommate. Having a free friend is nice but it’s even nicer to make outside friends and only have to see them when you want to. Plus you don’t have to be disturbed when she wakes up early in the morning or stays up late at night. Or if she wants to keep the window open at all times even when it’s freezing or loud outside. And you can Skype with people or have people over without worrying about disturbing your roommate.

Another thing you can do is be someone else’s de facto roommate. That is, hang out and do all your work in someone else’s room. Instant social group and you get the best of both worlds.

Break out out of your room! But seriously just converse with people during class.

Lol **well turns out there was a glitch in the billing system (I’m guessing) as I just got an email with my roommate’s name. Now I’m nervous because he seems like the COMPLETE opposite of me. He’s white, super country, family oriented, active, and church person. **

Aw! Well email him! Facebook message him! Anything. I mean unless your a) not white b) super uncountry(?) c) non family oriented d) a couch potato and e)church hater…he’s not the complete opposite from you. ;)

And…uh…good luck. :p

Skin color and Religious preference are usually irrelevant. Rather look for common grounds: You may both like the same books, movies, and you may both be messy.

That’s awesome, you’ll be exposed to a different perspective on life and isn’t that one of the main selling points of college?

@Niquii77 You described me perfectly lol. And yeah I messaged him.

My period of peak activity on CC was about three years ago. Understandably, very few would know of me, just as I am unfamiliar with almost all of the posters I encounter on the site currently.

Oh not so great mifune. The class of 2017 have taken over this part of the forum. You do well to remember our, names.
