Doubling up AP Euro and AP World?

Is is it smart to take these two classes in the same year? Do the two classes complement each other? Which is harder?

You might find that you would have a huge amount of reading if you take two AP social studies classes in the same year. The answer would then depend on your reading speed and comprehension as well as your other coursework.

My two children both took AP Government and AP U.S. History in the same year. The courses complement each other, at least at the beginning. My daughter found it difficult to complete the reading, and the only reason my son is able to handle it is that the school has an A/B schedule, and he has one class on each day.

The combination of WHAP AND EHAP is a good one. If you do well one WHAP, you will find EHAP easy, as it is just WHAP, except only on Europe and somewhat more detailed.
