Doubt about extracurriculars

I am extremely passionate about quizzing.
Secured national level honors in quizzing.
Internship in a quiz company...and so on and so forth.

EC essay- quizzing too
It has kinda permeated into my other ECs as well.

Philately- Won a quiz conducted by post office, based on stamps.
Science related activities ( Club,etc.)- Won science quizzes conducted by top research institutes in my country.

1.Can I mention this under the Philately or Science Activity section, or does it belong to the Quiz section?

bump. Can someone please clarify?

Are you asking what category to select in the drop down menu within the Activities section on the common app form? Maybe the international applicants get a different drop down list from US applicants, but there is are no “philately” or “quizzing” options on our standard form. The selection of category from the drop down list is less important than the words you enter to describe the activity, so don’t stress much about which one to choose.

Or are you asking how many of these different things you can try to describe within a single one of the 10 available Activity entries in your app? The answer there is to combine where you think it makes sense to combine. It’s fine to have a single entry for Quizzing and list them all, or separate them in separate entries if you have room.

“Science/math” is probably fine as your choice from the drop down list if you are combining your quizzing into one activity. “Other” is the other appropriate option you could select.

You prize for the quiz based on stamps sounds like a quizzing activity, not really philately. You aren’t actually collecting stamps, right?

For your internship, you should probably also choose “Other.” That wasn’t really a quizzing activity, from the sounds of it. If so, it should not be combined with your quiz wins.
