I did very good my freshman year...i had like a 97 uw average. However, i switched schools between my frosh and sophomore year. I guess not even just schools...totally different states. This year, my sophomore year, has been really tough on me and I dropped down in my grades. This year i have about a 91/92 uw average. Will this downward trend hurt me? I plan on getting back on track the next two years...especially since i know what to expect and I have gotten use to the standards and all. But in anycase, will this slight decrease effect me from getting into some of the top colleges i would like to eventually attend?

I'm in the same situation (a junior now, I switched between freshman and sophomore years). There is obviously a difference in difficulty of the schools. Colleges will note this when looking at your transcript -- it will clearly show that they were two different schools. You can also address this in interviews if you see fit, just explain that your current school is more difficult than your previous one and that fact coupled with the difficulty of adjusting to a completely new environment had an effect on your performance. They'll understand.

Ok, thats what i thought. Thanks.

Any other opinions?
