I know colleges want to see an upward trend in grades, and mine is kind of a downward... I know there's nothing to do about it now, but I'm kind of curious.

yea sharpie, im actually in the same situation. i had all As freshman year and ended up with 3 Bs junior year. i guess it really just depends on how competitive your school's grading system is and how hard your classes were. for me, frosh year, my classes were mostly honors and regulars. but junior year, i took 4 aps. so that might account for the downward trend. but i think as long as you're overall gpa is good, you should be fine. an upward trend might tip you over the top but a downward trend shouldnt hurt too much, if its minimal.

My grade has gone from 1 B freshman year to 5 Bs junior year. The classes have become more difficult (more APs), but I'm guessing this will probably affect my chances a lot. Right?

I'm thinking that the college I applied to early should have asked my counselor for first marking period grades if I was really on the cusp, but they didn't. It's pretty unlikely that they would accept someone with such a drop, especially since my ECs, essays, recs, weren't spectacular, so..am I looking at a rejection?

I'm in the same sort of situation, except my ED school did end up calling for grades today. However, they were better than last year but not up up to my 9th and 10th grade standards so I'm a little worried still.
